Christmas Store

What is the Christmas Store Project?

This is the 46th year that the Christmas Store has worked to provide a holiday meal for individuals in need.  Our customers are invited through the Warrensburg Food Center.

Last year, the Christmas Store served 421 families (1,053 individuals).  In 2019, we expect this number to increase.  Our goal is to raise $35,000.00 to serve every family who needs a meal.

What to expect from the Christmas Store Feeding Project:

  • Friendly and loving service, utmost respect and courtesy from our volunteers.
  • Grocery bag of non-perishable food items (see menu below) according to family size.
  • Voucher for perishable food (milk, turkey, eggs, etc.) according to family size.
  • An orange and a candy cane for each family member.
  • A book per child.

Our Christmas Store is comprised of representatives from participating churches in the community.  One hundred percent of the donations are used to feed those in need.  The chairperson for this year is Kay Reser.  She can be contacted at 660-238-6920 or kreser2011@hotmail.com.  We will collect donations for the families at the Christmas Store location on Friday, December 6th (12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m.), Saturday, December 7th(9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon), and Monday, December 9th (12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.).

All invited families will be served at the Christmas Store on Thursday, December 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 21st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Community of Christ Church, 700 South Mitchell Street, Warrensburg, MO.
